In November, 2018, the USA’s Anti-Female Genital Mutilation law was deemed unconstitutional by a judge in Michigan. In April 2019 the Federal government decided to concede to this ruling. GenitalAutonomySociety.org believes that any Forced Genital Mutilation/Modification without medical necessity is a violation of that person’s human rights and that a special law is not required.
